As the construction of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic High School continues, our team remains resilient in the face of challenging weather conditions. Although the rainy weather has forced us to postpone our first pour, we are scheduled to pour slab on grade Thursday and are eager to hit the ground running.
Currently, our steel contractor is onsite erecting steel, and we are scheduled to begin precast work on May 15th on the east side of the building. It is crucial that the steel erection is completed early next week so that the masonry contractor can complete the walls around the steel columns and above the window lintels. This must all be done before May 15th, when the precast work begins.
Once the precast is in place, the masonry contractor will move on to building the walls on the second floor of the east wing. We are also pushing to pour all slab on grade east before the lift of precast. With the steel contractor now having the bulls eye, we anticipate that this month will be a busy one.
We are excited to see the progress we are making on this project, and we look forward to updating you on our construction progress in the near future. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build toward the future of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic High School.
