N E Oakville High School – Construction Progress: Key Milestones Achieved in School Project

default

The recent favorable weather conditions have presented us with a significant opportunity to accelerate our project progress over the next two weeks. Currently, Aerloc is diligently installing frames for our curtain wall, marking an important milestone in the construction timeline. Additionally, our contractor is focused on installing posts on the roof to prepare for the installation of screens, while work on building parapet walls above the gym area is also underway.

In the coming days, we will transition to the interior finishes, with painting set to commence shortly. Following the painting, we will proceed with the installation of ceramic tile flooring, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the interiors. A critical step in ensuring the longevity and durability of the building is the application of blue skin to the exterior windows. This moisture-resistant barrier is essential for preventing water infiltration.

After the blue skin is applied, we will proceed with the spraying of the Air Vapour Barrier (AVB). It is crucial that this task is completed effectively, as it plays a vital role in making our building watertight, thus safeguarding the structures against potential weather-related issues. As these various elements come together, our building is increasingly beginning to resemble a school, complete with modern facilities designed to foster an enriching educational environment. The progress made so far reflects our commitment to quality construction and the timely delivery of this important project.
