Cuba, a vibrant island nation, captured our hearts during our recent visit. From the moment we landed, we were welcomed by the warm smiles of the locals and the infectious rhythm of Cuban music. The people of Cuba radiate happiness and resilience, which made our experience all the more enriching. Varadero, with its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters, quickly became our favorite destination. Each day offered a new adventure, whether it was exploring the lively markets, savoring traditional Cuban cuisine, or lounging under the sun.
We indulged in local delicacies like ropa vieja and tostones, each dish telling a story of the island’s rich culture and history. The weather was perfect, enhancing our enjoyment of everything the beautiful landscape had to offer. Despite the pressures faced by Cuba from the USA, we found the spirit of the people to be unyieldingly optimistic. Their passion for life and art shines through in every street corner and dance.
It’s important for more people to visit Cuba, not only to experience its beauty but to support its resilient citizens. They deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated, rather than judged based on political actions taken against them. We left with full hearts, eager to return to this magical island that feels like a second home. Cuba’s spirit is infectious, and we can’t wait to create more memories there in the future.
