Work is progressing well as our team builds parapet walls on the roof. Once completed, this will enable our roofing contractor, GRRC, to mobilize and make the structure watertight. Currently, roof joists are being placed on the south side, and we expect the gym joists to be delivered this week. As soon as the joists are in position, the installation of the metal deck will commence immediately.
In addition, we anticipate the arrival of windows by the end of December. Once the building is enclosed, we will initiate our temporary heating system to ensure safe working conditions during the colder months. This step is crucial for maintaining progress on the interior work as we move forward.
On another front, our parking area is receiving its final touches. We expect the asphalt to be laid down by the end of this week, which will greatly enhance the functionality of the space and improve access to the site.
However, we are closely monitoring the weather forecast, which indicates that conditions may not be favorable in the coming days. Therefore, it’s essential for us to “make hay while the sun shines.” The team is energized and focused, pushing hard to meet our deadlines and keep the project on track. Every day counts, and we are committed to making the most of the time we have to ensure the successful completion of this phase of construction.
