Switching Into High Gear: A Construction Update
It brings great excitement to announce the progress made on our site. We are now heading into high gear as we move forward with various stages of the project. The second floor on the west side is set to be precast next Wednesday , and the completion of the second floor on the east side is right around the corner, scheduled for next Wednesday.
In addition to this, we have some wonderful news. The metal lintels for the third floor on the east side have arrived, which means our masonry contractor is now all set to proceed. The anticipation for the next site meeting is growing, as we expect the school to look even better.
Looking ahead, we are pleased to inform you that the remaining trades will join us by mid-August, ready to hit the ground running. To ensure smooth progress, it is crucial that all shop drawings are thoroughly reviewed and approved. Rest assured, we will maintain our commitment to the project’s success.
As we glance at the calendar, we can see the precast for the fourth floor will be needed in the first or second week of September. Once completed on the east side, we will be ready to move forward with the open web steel joist for the roof, set to begin in the first / second week of October. The steel work on the west side will also be finished by the same time. Our ultimate goal is to achieve a watertight structure before Christmas—a significant milestone in our construction journey.
Let’s not forget about the windows! We eagerly await their installation as well. As we continue to make remarkable progress, we anticipate the transformation of the site into a remarkable learning environment. Stay tuned for more updates as our construction adventure unfolds before us.
