N E Oakville H S – Resolving Construction Delays: Key Steps for Timely Project Completion
The current project has reached a standstill due to trades suspected of prioritizing work at other schools ahead of the impending September closure. Our team urgently requires trades on-site, as completing our school is paramount. We are unable to progress until the flooring contractor arrives, as they are responsible for leading the finishing trades. Similarly, we face delays with Aerloc, as the installation of all glass and door frames is crucial to allow other trades to proceed effectively. The situation is compounded on the exterior, where the Lakeside team is essential for asphalt, sidewalk, and curb work. Consequently, our progress has slowed dramatically, resembling a turtle’s pace. To overcome these challenges, we must expedite our workforce allocation and ensure timely arrival of all necessary trades to keep the project on track for completion. Ensuring collaboration and communication among teams is vital to resolve these delays swiftly.
